Roots rock all-stars Anne Harris and Markus James join forces once again to deliver cinematic, re-imagined blues rock.
Bringing a new realm of excitement to alternative blues, Halo Rider is “a kaleidoscope of deep grooves, atmospheric instrumental passages, harmonies and poetic flashes…”. Ranging from acoustic old-time blues and amped-up country, to electrified blues rock, the band are topping the scene as quite the innovators.
Formerly playing under the name, “Harris and James”, the talented duo are kicking off a new chapter as Halo Rider, and are set to release tracks under Sony / The Orchard’s James Firenze label. Their official debut, “Devil and Angel” is a dark, brooding blues track that combines the duos signature slide-guitar and violin pairing with a refreshing joint-rap breakdown.

Harris brings years of high-profile touring in the blues circuit to the table, becoming an in-demand session musician and a whirlwind musical force, which is nothing but complimented by James’ critically acclaimed discography. The output from this duo, is something we’ll be watching very closely as their journey develops.
