Classic rock through a contemporary eye: pete’s diary reveal new single

Bringing rock and roll back into the spotlight, INTERNATIONAL AUDIENCES HAVE praised the chicago band’s acdc-esque sound.

Formed in mid 2021, Pete’s Diary is the unification of drummer Ryan “Rocky” Johnson, vocalist and bassist Mac McRae and guitarist Peter Dankelson. Gaining a social media following of 800k worldwide, the trio’s “straight out of the 80s” rock sound has been led by Dankelson, who has inspired fans and fellow musicians with his talent and inspirational story. Having performed with the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Tylar Bryant, Dirty Honey and Buckcherry, who dubbed the guitarist a “champion of the human spirit”, Dankelson is undeniably, a skilled musical force.

Sharing his journey with Goldenhar syndrome, Dankelson has often spoke of his experience with hearing loss and other disabilities: None of which stopped him from teaching himself his instrumental weapon of choice. Motivating his audience to live their best life and find their own creative outlet, he has been honoured as a Patient of Courage by the American Soceity of Plastic Surgeons, and has published an autobiography titled, “How I learned to Rock my Life: The Peter Dankelson Story”.

Sourcing immense pride from their musical journey, Pete’s Diary released debut EP, “All Screwed Up” earlier this year. From top to bottom, the collection is a firm nod to the lates and greats of the 70s, with lead track, “Girl in a Magazine” pinpointing Dankelson’s Angus Young-esque character. If you’re on the hunt for riffs and licks galore, or a contemporary rock act with a blues driven foundation, get acquainted with Pete’s Diary.
