Sligo band Some Remain release classic-tinted single, “Death Defying Stunts”
The single is the first preview of their upcoming EP, due for release in 2025
Comprised of members Jamie (Vocals), Colm (Guitar), Leo (Bass) and Matthew (Drums), Some Remain’s blistering 'Live at Rumble Studios' video on YouTube first brought them to the Irish industry’s attention and generated quite the buzz when it was formally released in November 2020. Previous top-notch singles include debut “Television”, which kickstarted their recorded output, and aspired to capture the high-energy madness of their live shows that gig goers are gradually becoming more familiar with (an experience self-described as “noisy, unpredictable and always great craic”).
Latest single “Death Defying Stunts” packs on the charm we’ve heard before, taking on quite the classic-tinted character: Somewhat of a hybrid of punk, alternative rock, and the lightest dash of rockabilly, sourced in that core descending and ascending guitar motif that gives the song such a lift. A fiery, fun new release, this is sure to be a live favourite for fans of Some Remain.
