"Starting To See": The new single from Hesitator

His third single to date, “Hesitator” is the brainchild of multi-talented artist, Colm Mullan.

Dubbed a “guitar-heavy track with plenty of phased riffs and chunky basslines”, the single matches the energy of acts such as At The Drive In, Queens of the Stone Age, Idles and Jetplane Landing. Entirely recorded, mixed and mastered by Mullan, the track is another impressive project from the independent artist.

Fully coming together during the recording process, Mullan’s approach focused on how well his instrumentals interacted with his vocals. Always important that the two halves unite as one, the artist has a perfectionist streak about him that fellow music-makers will deeply appreciate. On the message of the song, he explained:

“Lyrically I’d say it’s a song about getting out of your own way and the idea that if you don’t take your chances when they’re presented to you, or if don’t put yourself out there, then you might never find out what you were fully capable of. Now that I've typed all of that out it actually seems like a pretty positive message, which might not be what you'd expect when you first hear the song!”

A punchy track with a positive message, “Starting To See” is getting us well acquainted with this promising alternative rock act.
