“Another Time in Another Place”: Jaime Orr reveals new single
Raised on the classic-rock greats, Irish solo-artist Jaime Orr is an up-and-coming talent not to be missed.
Boasting much live-performance experience (including sharing the stage with Eric Bell in Vicar Street and appearing on the famed Late Late Toy Show at age twelve), Jaime Orr remains a humble character in the Irish music scene. Overcoming speech difficulties at an early age, the now 22 year-old credits music as the medium that has allowed him to express himself beyond words.
Counteracting tough lyrical themes with positive messages, Orr’s style nods to everything from the soft-ballads of John Mayer to the gritty crooning of Nirvana and Royal Blood. Latest single, “Another Time in Another Place” approaches a lighter alternative-rock style, lyrically tackling his belief that things can always change for the better.
Leaning towards the styles of Inhaler and The Strokes this time around, the new single is an uplifting contemporary rock track that will leave you feeling a little more positive than before.
