The Outerlines: Emerging indie-rock from Preston
Cobra Promotions Artist Spotlight
Special collaboration with Nightowl Music Promotions & MGMT
Forming through TikTok as a group of lads wanting to start a local band, members Ben Gosling, Tom Vandenberg, Jacob Kennedy and Freddie Cuddy were united by their desire to write authentic indie-rock music.
Playing their first gig at a school in Chorley, the band quickly became regulars at the Tuesday open mic sessions at The Ferret, Preston. Now securing dates across the UK in Manchester, Liverpool and Edinburgh, the quartet are on a steady rise to national prominence.
The Debut:
The band released debut single, "come down" back in January. Recorded in local Penwortham studio Studio 3507, the single was picked up by Ben at The Motor Museum Studios in London, who mixed and mastered the track.
Inspired by the cutting-edge character of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the song was written with the vision of relighting the UK indie scene back to its early 2000s prominence. Further influenced by Arctic Monkeys and Catfish & the Bottlemen, the track is built on guitar driven strctures and gritty, textured layers.
What’s Next:
Having just released new single “Kelsey” (a youthful and infectious indie-rock track), the band are on an upward trajectory. They stated, “Personally, the next step is sharing even more music for people to hear. We want our fans to be a part of our journey with us”.
Manager Juvan Alexander (Owner of Nightowl Music Promotions & Mgmt) added: “The Outerlines are on a role - it’s only going to get better and better for them! “Kelsey” is the summer track of 2023 that you’ve all been waiting on!”
