Act of the week: Jack Devlin

Jack Devlin is an multi-genre, rock driven artist from Northern Ireland.

For fans of Sam Fender, Cold War Kids and Jeff Buckley.

Having had the pleasure of seeing Jack perform at the Spirit Store supporting Belfast stars Dea Matrona last year, I must say that this is an artist you most certainly want to catch live in an intimate venue before he hits the big time.

Also supporting top names such as David Keenan, Malaki and Hudson Taylor, Devlin’s unique mix of folk, rock and pop repertoire brands him as a truly unique artist. A singer-songwriter, bassist and guitarist, you might have caught sight of Jack busking live with his band on the streets of Belfast, playing everything from classic covers, to contemporary pop hits (and some fantastic originals, if you were lucky).

Devlin released indie-rock track, “Lies” last year, which was one of several fantastic original tracks I got to hear live before the release. Earning coverage on Hotpress, IMRO and Wolf in a Suit, the single was very well received by the music community, and rightfully so. Candid and powerful, Devlin’s introspective character shines through:
