Cian Airoldi releases debut album

“The Enhancement Phase” is a huge debut album from Dublin indie-rock artist Cian Airoldi. Consisting of sixteen tracks (including interludes), Cian hits every electronic rock timbre under the sun. Having worked with Cian to distribute the press for this album, you can delve right into the album description in our press release below!

Dublin based creative Cian Airoldi is climbing the indie-rock ranks with his gleaming, electric charged sound.

Blending anthemic vocal lines with secure guitar riffs and his signature electronic DIY finish, Cian Airoldi has spent his entire career writing and producing music in his bedroom studio.  Boasting two EPs and a handful of singles, Cian is delighted to present debut album, "The Enhancement Phase".

Written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Cian, "The Enhancement Phase" represents almost three years of work and development. A collection of sixteen tracks (including interludes), the album is divided into two halves: "Freedom, Baby!" and "Egotistical Introspection".

"Freedom, Baby!", deals with themes of outward expression and saying how you feel to those around you, whether it be your family (Magazine Hill), friends (I'll Find You Somehow, Brazen, Slowly) or complete strangers (Audrey, All Night Long). These themes are portrayed in a gleeful and upbeat manner in the form driving indie rock/pop songs. The final track in this half of the album (Post-Mortem) is a somber piece that introduces the theme for the second half of the album.

The latter half, "Egotistical Introspection", deals with themes of introspection and self reflection. Musically, this half of the album leans into brooding soundscapes and a darker humour. Exploring guidance and reassurance (It's Alright, A Prayer) as well as discussing the sensation of feeling 'lost' (If I Wrote You a Song, I Don't Know), it takes an inward look at Cian's thoughts at the time of writing the album.

The second half loops back to themes of the first,  finishing with two optimistic love songs (Take Me to the Place Where You Go, Dead Air) and a driving rock song (I Don't Know) spaced in between.

Cian is included on our “Late Night Drives” and “Ireland” playlists. Stream below!
