The Pinpricks reveal first single from upcoming album

Having bundled all of their strength into balancing a fine line between a contemporary and timeless sound, German punk-rock duo the pinpricks recently slapped down first taster single, “anyway” to the table.

Mixing punk, garage rock and indie with a touch of 80s wave, the band offer plenty of catchy hooks and heavy moments. Comprised of singer/guitarist Ronja Kaminsky and bassist Nils Degenhardt, the 2018 founded band have released three EPs to date, earning over 350,000 streams and playing over one hundred shows.

Building a substantial international fanbase independently, the duo are excited to deliver their upcoming sophomore album, “This Stuff is Poison”. Vocalist Ronja gives us an insight:

"We wanted to have already quite consciously in the sound, this 80s and 90s impact on our album. At the same time, of course, we are still influenced by our earlier stuff, which was located more in punk and garage rock. But that we now had a concrete plan to make an album as multifaceted and stylistically rich as possible, you can also not say. Because in the end, you can never quite influence where your creativity takes you."

Influenced by Muse, Blondie and The Pretty Reckless, new single “Anyway” is a ferocious first look into the new LP. Brutish but “lovingly decorated”, the track is driven by Ronja’s gritty vocal tone, bound with a “you’ll get what I give you” attitude.
