Bristol Band The Doomsday Orchestra Release New Single “Papyrus”, Following Rebrand

Bristol three piece alt rock band The Doomsday Orchestra, formerly Gold Fever, releasing new single Papyrus

The Doomsday Orchestra is the all-encompassing rebrand of Bristol based trio Gold Fever, following four years forging a reputation as one of Bristol’s best kept secrets.

The Doomsday Orchestra is the refreshed, but natural progression of the trio’s artistic direction, creating cinematic, thematically-dense productions best described as a post-apocalyptic soundtrack for a world that ended in the ‘80s.

“Papyrus is a song about the unrelenting brutality of time, inspired by the 4,500 year old remains of an Egyptian manon display at the Bristolmuseum. I was profoundly affected by the irony of this man’s unwitting after life within a culture obsessed with life after death. My interpretation of this man’s perspective describes the insidious violence that time imposes on everything, an unwavering force that eventually we all must answer to”- Oscar JD Sault, songwriter.

A bold new release born from a confident rebrand, that will continue their upward trajectory within Bristol’s buzzing scene.
