New Rock Music: Young Cavan rockers Mirrorglass release punk ‘n’ roll single
“Let’s Go To Mine” is the band’s third single, and their most thrilling yet.
A dynamic four-piece hailing from County Cavan, Ireland, Mirrorglass are a band with a bound of talent, and bountiful energy. Their relentless new single, “Let’s Go To Mine”, was recorded in Neal Calderwood’s (formerly of Scheer), Manor Park Studio over a five day stint, and is quite the two-minute experience. Setting the tone of the track with a thunderous guitar-riff, the song is propelled forward through a punk and classic-rock steeped tunnel, brought to life by drummer Shane Galligan (17) and bassist Rowan Davis (17). A commanding vocal performance from Joshua Bowles (18) launches the song further into Motorhead-esque heights, solidifying the band as one with a truly magnetic style.
A hybrid of Greenday, ACDC and Guns ‘n’ Roses, “Let’s Go To Mine” is somewhat a continuation of the band’s debut single, “Hey Honey!”, drawing influence from the disappointing feeling when a band “rocks the shit out of you” and then disappears into the night. Joshua Bowles adds:
"We're thrilled to finally share 'Let’s Go To Mine' with the world. This song represents the pure rock and roll spirit of Mirrorglass, and we can't wait for everyone to experience the energy and passion we poured into it!"
An anthemic single perfect for any classic-driven playlists, a music video and BTS footage will also both soon to be released to fans.
