Riserfall take to the throne with new single, “Claim The Kingdom”

Hoping to leave a lasting impression on the Irish hard-rock scene, RISERFALL are a culmination of the many grunge and rock greats that have come before.

A fierce new four-piece crediting a powerful range of influences that have helped shape their sound (Soundgarden, Tool, Metallica, Alter Bridge),the band seek to craft their own formula of contemporary hard rock atop the shoulders of these giants. Spending the last two years honing their stagecraft, they are set to make huge strides as they look towards showcasing more studio work in the coming year.

“They have emerged fully formed, with their varying influences distilled into a unique and powerful sound of their own.”

- Alex Faulkner, The Faulkner Review

Fronted by Daniel O’hEidhin, who brings a lifetime of experience to his collective, the singer lives and breaths music as a “remedy, an outlet and an old, constant friend”. Fellow members Neel Thakur (New Dehli), Ciaran Hurd (London) and Dan O’Connor (Kildare), bring their own streams of unmatched knowledge and talent to the table - and what results is a euphoric rock sound quite unique to what’s on offer in the Irish market right now. Their latest single explores the feelings of discontent and disconnection between humans and the institutions that are supposed to serve us, questioning the dexterity of such structures. The band explain:

“At its core, it’s a song focused on the loss of belief in everything, and the desire to take back some semblance of representation in the making of decisions that could bring about affirmative and positive change”

Detailing the inner turmoil and helplessness following a “multi-generational, steady usurpation of affirmative action”, the single is quite the hard-hitting track in sound and message. Produced and Mixed by Mike O’Dowd at Lakeland studios (IE) and mastered by the Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound, Nashville (Greenday, The Eagles, Bring Me The Horizon, Alice In Chains, Gojira, Mastadon, Halestorm), the internal and external framework of Riserfall is suggesting much more incredible output.

First introduced to the band through the 2022-released single, “Dogma”, we are truly enjoying how the band are leaning into their heavier sound in this latest single. They are not an act to be ignored: From their bursts of perfectly executed moments of guitar work in “No Name Face” to their ability to seamlessly combine alt rock and hard rock movement in “Fragments”, we are very much looking forward to what Riserfall have yet to unleash. If they can concentrate this ferocity and drip feed it into their upcoming discography, we’ll be well fed for a long time.
