Dublin band Sun Mahshene announced as Irish support for The Brian Jonestown Massacre

The independent Dublin band will play Belfast’s Ulster Hall on February 11th, and Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on February 12th, 2025.

Releasing their debut album, "A Place We’ve Never Been" on August 23rd, independent Dublin band Sun Mahshene have secured two support slots for American psychedelic band, The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The band will take to the stage for two nights - February 11th in Belfast and February 12th in Dublin - as The Brian Jonestown Massacre's exclusive support act for both 2025 dates. A notable achievement for a band without a label backing, the announcement hopes to come in validation of the band’s success since inception.  The band urge that fans can expect an electrifying, well-matched performance in support of the headline act. About the upcoming gig dates, Sun Mahshene lead vocalist Nathan Henderson stated:

"The Brian Jonestown Massacre have been a huge influence for us. To finally get to play a show with them is a dream come true"

Guitarist Rob Crosbie added:

"We're so excited to play these shows, we can't wait. For an independent band like us, to be asked personally by the band to support them is really cool! We're gonna bring it"

Comprising six diverse members from Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Poland, Sun Mahshene “provide a musical journey that transcends genres”, dubbing their sound “Post-Shoegaze" for the masses”.
