New Indie Music: Ian Bond + New Single “Wet Paint”

An emerging singer-songwriter immersed in music for over a decade, Ian Bond is a talented new indie artist kicking off a solo venture.

The lead vocalist for the band Daundry, a group enjoying success in the Chicago area, the singer is growing his solo discography, which already includes two EPs and another single.

“A refreshing blend of raw energy and emotional depth”, Bond’s latest nostalgic-drenched, bite-sized single, “Wet Paint”, draws you in from the first second. The combination of hollow vocals, delivered as softly as one would whisper a wish, is complimented with a warm, muddy production style on the delicate instrumentation and hazy backing. The song is quite irresistible, calming in nature, and fused with so many emotions and thoughts that each listener can only but go on their own journey. The piece, at only one minute and nineteen seconds, feels like a significant interlude for the playlist of life, narrating changes, growth and hopefully, something better in the next chapter.

Short and sweet, and highly effective. A perfect addition to any soft indie, late night driving, 3am DMCs or short film playlist.
