The Savage Hearts put the red in the blues: Debut double single “Gang War / Speedkills”

Led by former The Strypes drummer Evan Walsh, The Savage Hearts are an frenzied whirlwind of rock ‘n’ roll….

Exploding onto the scene with their pysch-tinged rock ‘n’ roll chops, the band have been teasing original music for almost two years now, and are delighted to smack us in the face with a classic double sided release and 7” single via Blowtorch Records.

A collaboration between a group talented Cavan musicians sharing a love for mysterious rock ’n’ roll monstrosity Eddie Cruizer, the band their pump their questional but utterly mesmerising ethos into thuggish bruiser boogie “Gang War” and mile-a-minute deathtrap “Speedkills”:

“….two garage rockin' psych trippin' stomps that are sure to thrill and leave a thousand questions on your lips about these elusive men and the legend of Eddie Cruizer - who is he? Where does he go? Why does he bother??”

If there’s hole in your heart where a The Strypes-shaped band should be (but you’re on the hunt for something a bit more chaotic and unbalanced between grunge and blues), The Savage Hearts will likely turn this void from black to red. Rooted in pysch and grunge but dashed with just enough harmonica licks and tricks for that extra bit of class, this double debut single is double the energy, double the sound and double the fascination…..
