Dead Men From Mars release debut single, “Sorry, I’m In A Rush”
There’s only one way to play this track: LOUD
Born out of a shared love of gritty, thunderous down-tuned riffs and raw visceral energy, the three piece band made up of Alfonso Palma (above centre), Maciej Kaczmarski (above left) and Claude Roosevelt (above right) unveil their debut single ‘Sorry, I’m In a Rush’, and the first track from their upcoming EP: ‘Soul Full of Rotten Rats’.
Originating from Poland, Chile and Ireland, Dead Men From Mars’ music is a testament to the diverse cultures of each member, creating a sound that is both unique and deeply rooted in the darker, heavier side of rock.
On the background of the song, Maciej states:
‘The songs were initially never planned for any vocals because they were so self expressive and musically rich. This obviously created a lot of issues when trying out vocalists around Waterford. Generally songs have clear verse/chorus structures - Well, our songs didn’t have that as they were so abstract, this made it really difficult to find a solid vocal hook within’ the song structure.
Written and recorded by Alfonso, Maciej & Claude at Ok Granny Studios, The Hive, Art & Music collective, Waterford, ‘Sorry, I’m In a Rush’ features engineering & production from John Haggis, Mastering by Bill Skibbe at Third Man Records and guest vocals from Andy McGurk of A Lethal Black Ooze.
A savage, deliciously relentless debut single from Dead Men from Mars. It’s a quickfire debut, giving a whirlwind earful of what’s to come next from the rising Waterford trio, which, based on this single, we anticipate to be quite the wild ride - and we’re up for it…
