Mark Werchowski releases Bo Diddley driven single, “Cruisin’”

The San Antonio, Texas artist dives into his blues roots in latest single.

An ASCAP Popular Songwriting Award Winner, Werchowski has gigged extensively across the North East of the country. Performing alongside acts such as Foghat, Joe Perry, Nantucket, Outlaws, Robin Trower, Johnny Van Zant, Grinderswitch and the Winters Brothers, the artist is no stranger to the stage, or southern rock ‘n’ roll.

Latest single, “Cruisin”, from the album, “just Don’t Know Better”, is propelled by Bo Diddley’s signature Afro-Cuban rhythm and a 50s rockabilly blues feel. A nod to one of the most feelgood rock eras of all time, the single’s infectious character will leave you hunting down your Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran and Johnny Otis records. Recorded in Utica, NY, where there remains to be an active car culture, the single is somewhat of an ode to this tight-knit community.

“The love for the automobile and the freedom it brings is something that I was thinking about when I wrote Cruisin’”
