POLAR release 6th album “Five Arrows” on Arising Empire Records

A relentless and thunderous sixth album from the British band

British hardcore band Polar

For the last 15 years, Polar have given everything to build a strong reputation as a force to be reckoned with. In 2023, they went through a major line-up change leaving founding member Adam Woodford (singer) to carry the torch as the relationship between past members dissolved. Determined to take a negative situation and turn it into a positive, Adam Woodford rebuilt the band, bringing on board Stefan Whiting (Bass), Bruno Consani (Guitar), Simon Richardson (Guitar) and Max Flohr (Drums) with the focus to give Polar a whole new lease of life. With a fresh new perspective and positivity, the newly formed Polar are keeping the flame burning hot, playing the main stage at Resurrection Festival and completing European and UK tours.

Writing and recoridng their sixth studio album with producer Jack Murphy (Crystal Sound Studios) ‘Five Arrows’ goes deep into the subject of the destructive power of change, and the band regard as their strongest work to date. Speaking about focus track ‘The Hills Are Alive With The Sound Of Violence’, Adam Woodford explains:

"The concept for this song really came from learning to live in the hostile world we all now live in; it struck me to the core how aggressive and unapologetic humanity has become. It causes me pain to see and witness acts of mindless violence and the trail of destruction that it causes. I felt I needed to translate  these emotions through the lyrics, to compliment the heaviness of the music."

On the album itself, he continues,

"Five Arrows is the beginning of a brand new era of Polar and the record is a symbol of resilience. The album allows the band to break the mould musically to what has come before, pushing the sound sonically in a brand new direction but at the same time not losing the rawness and energy that the band has come to be known for.  To accompany the newfound sound, lyrically it digs deeps into the theme of the destructive power of change and the positive and negatives that come with it."
