Queen Bitch Releases New Single “Even If I Pray” with B-Side, “A Popular Song”
Hailed for her “perfect blend of rock, blues, and grunge” (Melodic Mag), Queen Bitch is a rising force in the Irish music scene. With six explosive singles under her belt and a highly anticipated debut album coming in late 2025, the year ahead is set to be a game-changer for this trailblazing artist, who is alternative royalty in her own right.
A staple in Dublin’s live music scene, Queen Bitch has brought her high-octane performances to iconic venues such as Fibber Magees, The Sound House, and Workmans, to name a few, and has earned extensive praise across Irish media and further afield (Hot Press, RTÉ 2FM, The Last Mixed Tape, Flex and more).
Two thunderous grunge anthems of reckoning and rebirth, ‘Even If I Pray’ and ‘A Popular Song’ explore the inevitability of change. Drenched in distortion and melancholic grit, A-side ‘Even if I Pray’ wrestles with the struggle of letting go of the past, of old scars, and of the things we cannot change. A cry of resilience and hope, it drags us through the wreckage of broken dreams and blistered regrets. As the momentum builds, a light emerges at the end of the tunnel, culminating in a soaring guitar solo that erupts before bringing us back to solid ground.
Dripping with raw emotion, B-side ‘A Popular Song’ is a cathartic scream into the void - an anthem for those rewriting their fate and clawing their way free from societal conditioning toward a new status quo. Gritty, guttural vocals tear through thick walls of overdriven guitars, while chaotic guitar solos crash like waves of pure angst. This track doesn’t just echo the '90s grunge movement - it buries itself deep in the dirt, unapologetic and unrelenting.
Both songs were written and performed by Queen Bitch, AKA Róisín Bohan, and produced at Beardfire Studios, led by head producer David Virgin. The tracks feature musical arrangements by the Beardfire production team - Rohan Healy (bass) and Al Quiff (drums) - as well as lead guitar work from both Healy and Petri Visser, with mastering by Romesh Dodangoda.
With raw talent and a fearless attitude, Queen Bitch is poised to take the world by storm - so get ready.
